English Bowlers Performance in T20 Cricket

One of the top cricket teams in the world is from England. With a great batting and bowling line-up, this team can defeat any opponent, even one who is more powerful. You can watch highlights of their today international cricket match to stay updated with the score. England boasts a good bowling line-up in addition to a great batting line-up.

Here is the list of top-order bowlers from England:

  • Adil Usman Rashid

He played in each of England’s four games at the 2009 World T20 to make his England debut, but the following winter’s series against  South Africa was disappointing for him. His one over in the T20 international match against SA cost 25 runs, and At an ODI in Centurion, his three overs were taken for 27.

Over the following few years, Rashid’s gradual improve himself as a national cricketer and become inconsistent, butat the age of 20, he developed into a run-scorer who is more active and flourished under Yorkshire head coach Jason Gillespie. Gillespie later brought Rashid to the Big matches with Adelaide Strikers, where he won championships in the year of 2014-15. He collected 11 wickets in the 2019 World Cup for England, which was a member of the team that advanced to the final of the 2016 World T20 and the semi-final of the 2017 Champions Trophy.

This leg-break bowler has participated in 246 T20 international games. In T20 cricket, he has 272 wickets to his name. Seven times, he got four wickets in a single game.

  • Christopher James Jordan

Christopher James Jordan is a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Chris Jordan, a fast bowler with a ferocious yorker and a cool head, discovered his place as an expert in the death overs in T20 cricket for England after first making a name for himself as a bowling all-rounder in Tests and ODIs.

Jordan continued to be a lock for the England T20I selection, and his performance in a Caribbean series right before the 2019 World Cup almost brought him back from the dead. However, his close buddy Jofra Archer was chosen for the final team before him, and he went on to carve out a name for himself in the world of franchise football.

He proceeded to perform admirably with the ball for Sussex in all forms, and he has participated in most international T20 competitions, including the IPL. Jordan is a valuable lower-order batsman who made his first-class century against Essex at Colchester in 2016 and frequently finds himself clearing the ropes to save England. He is a top-notch fielder who can play in the outfield, the slips, or off his bowling.

He has taken 305 wickets in 293 T20 games he has played so far. He had four wickets in a single T20 match five times.

  • Mark Andrew Wood

Andrew is a right-arm fast bowler.

For a while, it appeared as though Mark Wood might join the ranks of fast bowlers who made more promises than they could keep. A never-ending string of ailments, especially to his ankle, threatened to either put a stop to his career or make him become another quick medium seamer who gave up the pace for a longer playing career.

Wood, though, would not be defeated. A lengthier approach to the crease would relieve some of the burdens on his body and let him reach the speeds his early career had promised, so Wood abandoned the short run-up that had been a defining aspect of his game up until the latter half of 2018.

Wood was never the ideal fast bowler for contemporary England. He is short, barely 6 feet tall, and at least initially bowled from a sprinter’s run-up, but at the beginning of the 2015 summer, when Durham and the Lions saw his pace, he was handed his Test debut. He made a strong first impression by bowling over 90 mph against New Zealand, maintaining his spot for Australia’s visit, and capping things off by grabbing the wicket that ensured England’s Ashes triumph at Trent Bridge. The imagined horse that he had used to ride about the English county grounds to pass the time had quickly become recognisable as part of his celebration of England.

He has grabbed 64 wickets in the 48 T20 games that he has played so far.

  • Moeen Munir Ali

Generally, he is a batting all-rounder but he also snatches the heart of a cricket fan with his magnificent bowling. Moeen had a record that may be compared to the greatest in previous seasons of county cricket, even though many detractors regarded him a “part-time” bowling bowler. And despite experiencing more than his fair share of various ups and downs, he manfully handled the weight for the following five years in one of the English game’s most under-resourced locations. Moeen’s career as a Test all-rounder came to an end when he was benched during the 2019 Ashes, which led to the loss of his central contract. However, when he retired in 2021, he had just over 3,000 Test runs and 200 wickets, making him England’s third-most productive spinner of all time.

He plays quite well in the T20 format. He has participated in 261 T20 games and claimed 175 wickets.

  • Samuel Matthew Curran

He is a left-hand medium-fast bowler.

From the moment he joined Surrey’s first XI in 2015, Curran has defied his small stature, displaying a natural ability to swing his left-farmers at a respectable tempo and being plenty of drive with the bat. His competitive style of cricket has distinguished him as a unique player in the making, garnering interest from the England Lions towards the conclusion of the 2016 campaign.

He has previously participated in 143 T20 matches for England. The 146 wickets he took. He took 4 wickets in a single T20 match four times, while he took 5 wickets in a single T20 match twice.

These are the England cricket team’s top bowlers and most successful wicket-takers. Their outstanding performance allowed England to repeatedly defeat powerful opponents.
